Centre for Health and Social Economics CHESS
The Centre for Health and Social Economics (CHESS) undertakes
high-quality health economics research on health-policy relevant
issues. It also aims to promote interaction among researchers
nationally and internationally and to increase the impact of health
economics research.
Our work centres on applied research and developing methods to
support this research.
CHESS focuses on three research areas:
- Quality and efficiency of health services
- Financing and provision of health services
- Evaluation of health services system
The Centre's community of multidisciplinary researchers
represents a wide range of expertise, including health economics,
medical science, nursing sciences, health care administration,
social policy and statistics. Our research work combines theories
from these different disciplines with a practical knowledge of care
and services for older people.
The research findings of CHESS are reported at national and
international seminars/conferences, in scientific journals and
other publications, as well as in the CHESSONLINE newsletter (in
Finnish).
The research findings are partly published in the form of
knowledge and statistics that are ready for
use. |
